This is the first portrait of a dog that I took at Bruce Pits. Bruce Pits is one of the themes of this photo blog and in Bruce Pits there is an extensive and very popular dog park. I'm very much attracted to dogs and have done extensive portraits of dogs in Cuba in a series called La Isla de los Perritos Perditos. I think it's a powerful portrait that captures the mysterious ambience of autumn, when the pre-winter cold comes and kills of f the lush growth of summer, leading us up to Halloween when ghosts and supernatural beasts are celebrated.
